Christina Pegler, owner of Milford Travel in the high street, had an unexpected surprise when she attended the Global Travel Group Conference in Dubai.
As she sat enjoying the Award Night event her name was suddenly called and Christina discovered that she had won the 'Best Newcomer in the South' Award.
Christina said: "I was really pleased, proud and very surprised to receive this award!"
Since opening her travel agency in Milford on Sea village in March 2015, Christina has bought traditional service values to finding the ideal holiday or travel arrangements for lots of local people.

Christina was previously an air hostess, and knows many great places around the world - and the best ways to get there!
Milford Travel (in what was formerly Clifford's hairdressers) offers a full range of travel services including; bespoke holidays, cruises, exotic trips, flights, and even coach trips.
Obviously a lot of holidays are now booked on the web, but to do this takes a fair bit of research, and ultimately nothing beats a nice dose of personal service - and supporting a village business!
